Biography

Dr. Vivek Sindhi is a double board certified physician in both Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Interventional Pain Medicine. He completed two highly-competitive fellowship training years.

 

His first year of specialized training was in Interventional Spine & Musculoskeletal Medicine in the Dept. of Orthopedics at the Medical University of South Carolina. This is a North American Spine Society- recognized training program where he learned the art of minimally-invasive spine and joint procedures.

 

He then went on to complete training in Interventional Pain Medicine in the Dept. of Anesthesiology at the world-renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital where he worked alongside leaders and pioneers in the field.

Throughout his career, he has published 10 peer-reviewed journal articles, 16 case reports and scientific abstract presentations, and given 18 oral presentations at local and national conferences. In residency, he was appointed chief resident during his final year where he worked alongside his program director to carry out both academic and administrative duties.

 

Dr. Sindhi has received many professional awards. He was awarded "Resident Researcher of the Year" two years in a row,  "Resident Educator of the Year" two years in a row, "Medical Student Educator of the Year", and he won first place at the School of Medicine Research Day in his final year of residency training.

Dr. Sindhi stays up-to-date with the latest treatment options and is a member of the North American Spine Society, North American Neuromodulation Society, and the Spine Intervention Society.
